Duties and Responsibilities liProvide in-home crisis oriented treatment, education and support to family units where one or more family members may be placed outside the home in foster, group, or institutional care or, be at-risk of being removed from the home./li liProvide a range of interventions to children, adults, and families, using acceptable treatment methodologies consistent with the Family Preservation model./li liActively participate as a member of team meetings; keep all members informed of case status and progress; provide oral and written reports as needed and make recommendations about case goals, alternative service plans, action steps and activities for treatment plans./li liAssist clients to clearly define presenting problems, devise methods and goals for resolution, assess their progress toward treatment goals and plan termination./li liPresent cases to supervisor for review of treatment plans and progress on a regularly scheduled basis./li liProvide appropriate referrals for clients requiring additional or alternative services./li liAssume therapeutic responsibility for all cases on assigned caseload; conduct intake, assessment and scheduling of all assigned clients./li liCollaborate with referral sources, agencies, institutions and individuals who have important roles in the family's life situation. Provide advocacy and professional consultation work with the referring organization, schools, court, and other social service agencies as needed./li liComplete client follow up at intervals as outlined./li liComplete and maintain all reports, statistics and assignments as required./li /ul hr / Job Qualifications Education, Training, and Licensure/Certification liBachelor's degree in social work or comparable human service field./li liMaster's degree in social work preferred./li liState of Michigan Licensed Social Worker licensure preferred./li /ul Experience liMinimum two years' field experience working with multi-problem children and families ability to relate to and engage with these families preferred./li liMinimum two years' experience working in home-based programs preferred./li liExperience in strength-based, family-center, solution focused approaches preferred./li /ul Kno
