State License ASW Licensed Clinical Psychologist Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Marriage & Family Therapist Marriage & Family Therapist Intern 1 Year of Experience Required The SEED Program is a long standing collaborative program of the Center for the Vulnerable Child, Alameda County Social Services Agency Department of Children and Family Services and Alameda County Public Health Nursing. The Mental Health Specialist for the SEED Program at the CVC works within a collaborative with early childhood mental health providers, child welfare workers, public health nurses, family partners, developmental specialists and parent advocates. S/he will provide therapeutic/developmental assessment and treatment services for 0-4 year olds, their families and caregivers; as well as provide consultation and guidance in early childhood principals to the multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will have experience and/or training in infant mental health and infant parent/child parent psychotherapy. S/he is committed to understanding self, clients and systems as they are located culturally and is able to work within a social justice framework. She/he has experience providing services in the home and in the community. The Clinician functions as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team focusing on infants and toddlers and their families and caregivers as they are in the child welfare/dependency system. Experience with EPSDT billing preferred. This position does have monthly productivity requirements. Job Summary:Clinician will provide counseling using applied psychotherapeutic techniques to individuals, families or groups wherein interpersonal relationships are examined for the purpose of achieving more adequate, satisfying, and productive individual and/or family adjustments. Job Requirements: Minimum Education: Masters Degree in clinical social work or marriage and family and child counseling, marital and family therapy, psychology, clinical or counseling psychology, or counseling with an emphasis in either marriage, family and child counseling or marriage and family therapy from an accredited school. Certification/License: Licensed (or licensed eligible) by the Board of Behavioral Science in California: Licensure requirement determined by specific job site Minimum Experience: Experience working with children and families with a culturally diverse population. Based on degree, licensure and years of experience, will be under a clinical social worker or marriage and family therapist job description upon hire. Knowledge/Skills: Normal and atypical child development Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary setting with a diverse group of professional and support staff Excellent verbal and written communication skills and problem solving skills Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively to crises Computer literate Ability to work independently, organize tasks, problem solve, make decisions, and handle multiple priorities; Interpersonal skills - Ability to interact well with co-workers and client families in varied settings. Medical Staff Membership: Required for Psychologists in order to practice at this facility Physical Requirements: Sit: Up to 6 hours/day Stand/Walk: Up to 6 hours Bend/Stoop: Up to 3 hours Reach: Up to 6 hours Rep Use of UE: Up to 6 hours Lift/Push/Pull: 25 lbs, over 25# with assistance or equipment This job requires the ability to hear alarms, clients and/or instruction.
