Sheppard Pratt Health System Social Worker (LCSW-C/Adult Crisis Stabilization Unit) in United States
The Adult Crisis Stabilization Unit is a 20-bed unit offering a highly focused crisis intervention model for the treatment of major mental illnesses where the average length of stay is less than 5 days.
As a Social Worker (LCSW-C) you:
Perform a full range of clinical social work services in support of the patient's primary therapist/treatment team.
Interview patients and families to assess psychosocial problems, develop treatment plans, and monitor and evaluate patient progress.
Conduct individual, family, and group therapy sessions for patients and their families in order to assist in resolving personal and environmental problems that prevent them from achieving their highest level of psychosocial functioning.
Participate as a member of the treatment team.
Develop and assist in the implementation of discharge and aftercare plans.
Master's degree in Social Work from a school accredited by the Council of Social Work Education.
Current Maryland State Social Work license, at the certified clinical level (LCSW-C), at time of appointment and continuously while in position.
2+ years of experience in a hospital or similar clinical setting.
